Santo Antônio de Jesus is a small city in the state of Bahia located at
180km from the Capital Salvador, in the southern region of the Reconcavo. Its population, according to the IBGE
estimate, made in 2013, it was 99,407 habitants. The city has importance as a
commercial and service center throughout the recôncavo, thus being considered
the "Capital of the Reconcavo." Annually hosts busiest Junina’s party,
attracting thousands of visitors.
